A THOUSAND AND ONE ROMES
The special A Thousand and One Romes programme takes place on scheduled dates and combines 20 hours of Italian language and culture lessons (four hours every morning, Monday to Friday) with a rich programme of cultural activities designed to help you experience Rome and savour it to the very last drop.
To take part in the cultural activities, participants should have a knowledge of Italian at A2 level or above.

THE WEEK'S PROGRAMME
The Foro Boario
followed by an apericena
The Foro Boario is the cradle of Roman civilisation.
Most visitors come here simply to queue for the famous Mouth of Truth, but just a few steps away there are dozens of remarkable places that mass tourism often overlooks.
And after so many discoveries... an apericena is the perfect way to end the afternoon.
Frascati

Frascati is well known, in Italy and abroad, for its wine and its food.
What many people don't realise is that it is also a fascinating historic town, just 30 minutes from Rome by train.
And once we're there... a glass of local white wine and a taste of genuine porchetta are almost impossible to resist.
The Caelian Hill
Just a short walk from the Colosseum, always crowded with visitors, you'll discover perhaps the least known of Rome's historic hills: the Caelian, often peaceful and sometimes almost deserted.
And once you're there, don't miss Santo Stefano Rotondo, a church that many Romans consider one of the city's hidden masterpieces.
Italian Language & Cinema
followed by a wine tasting evening
When people think of Italian art, they often forget that cinema is one of Italy's greatest artistic achievements.
So a conversation about Italian cinema is more than appropriate.
And afterwards... another great Italian art awaits: wine.
We'll spend the evening tasting a selection of Italian wines in one of the city's wine bars.
The Villa of the Quintili
and a farewell toast
The Appian Way is long, very long.
Many visitors stop at the Catacombs of San Callisto or the Mausoleum of Cecilia Metella.
Few continue just a little farther, where one of the most extraordinary Roman villas awaits them: the Villa of the Quintili, once so vast that it was known as "Little Rome."
And of course, our final day wouldn't be complete without a farewell toast.
And the Pleasure of Being Together
Because discovering a city is also about sharing experiences.
A conversation over dinner, a glass of wine after a day of walking, or simply the pleasure of spending time with people who share the same curiosity about Italy, its language and its culture.
Sometimes these are the moments students remember most.
FEES
The participation fee is €770 and includes:
20 hours of Italian language and culture lessons
Five cultural activities, including guided tours of the Foro Boario, the Caelian Hill and the Villa of the Quintili, admission to the Villa, a visit to Frascati, and the session on Italian cinema.
All evening events, including return train tickets to Frascati, the apericena, dinner in Frascati, the wine tasting evening and the farewell toast.
ACCOMMODATION
If requested, Scudit can recommend different types of accommodation for the duration of the programme, from the Sunday before the course begins until the Saturday after it ends.
